Level the Playing Field: Equip Our Girls' Rugby Team (Salford City Roosters)
Female rugby is booming in Salford. But our girls still train with worn-out, hand-me-down kit. We urgently need support to provide proper training gear, safety equipment, and teamwear for our growing girls and women’s squads at Salford City Roosters.
Your donation creates a safe, inclusive, and professional space where players can thrive — and belong.
Sewing Hope: Repair, Identity & Community (Fixit Folk)
These 20 creative workshops do more than teach sewing. They help people mend their clothes and their confidence. Supporting isolated individuals this project explores identity, self-expression, and community through repair and reuse.
With sewing kits and skill-sharing, we’re stitching together dignity, purpose, and belonging.
A Christmas That Feels Like Home (Eccles Cakes WI)
For many local women, Christmas is the loneliest time of year. We want to change that.
We’re organising a safe, joyful gathering with music, dancing, and food for isolated women aged 30–80+. No pubs, no pressure—just warmth, connection, and cheer.
Your support brings joy, dignity, and belonging when it’s needed most.
Keep Moving, Keep Smiling: Support (Mature Movers)
Every week, women aged 50 to 100 gather to dance, laugh, and stay active together. We regular perform at care homes and local events. However they struggle to keep going due to increased costs. Most members have limited income.
Your donation helps keep the music playing — covering hall hire, teaching costs, and transport so this joyful tradition continues.
The Family Club: A Safe Space to Grow Together (Westwood Park)
Many families we support have nowhere to go. No welcoming space beyond home or school. The Family Club offers free, inclusive sessions where parents and children connect through cooking, creativity, and play.
Your support builds confidence, connection, and resilience in families facing financial pressure and isolation.
Warm Homes, Full Hearts: A Holiday Lifeline (Salford Families in Need Project) Christmas hits hardest for struggling families. We’re providing food bags and £25 energy vouchers to 40 local households. Covering heating costs over Christmas.
Your donation brings real warmth, nourishment, and dignity to those who need it most.
A Safe Place to Sleep: Support for Salford’s Smallest (Salford Baby Bank)
No baby should go without a safe place to sleep. Our Eccles-based baby bank provides Moses baskets and travel cots to families in urgent need — ensuring babies sleep safely.
We’re seeking funds to supply 20 families with life-saving equipment and a safer start in life.
Good News That Brings People Together (Salford Post)
In a world of doomscrolling, The Salford Post shares real, positive stories from grassroots groups across Salford. Our free print paper tackles loneliness, supports digital inclusion, and connects residents to their community — no internet required.
Your support will fund a special community good news edition for Eccles.
Connection & Care for Older People (Salford Community Events Group)
Too many older people live alone and unaware of the help they’re entitled to. Our socials bring 120 guests together for a meal, music, and informal benefits advice in a stigma-free setting.
You’ll help reduce loneliness and unlock life-changing support for one of our hardest-to-reach groups.
Play with Purpose: Build Something Better (St Andrew's Primary School)
We’re raising funds for a new piece of playground equipment — not just for fun, but for health, focus, and inclusion. Active play boosts wellbeing, builds friendships, and improves learning outcomes.
Your support creates a joyful, accessible space where every child can thrive.
Outdoor Education for a Healthier Future (Barton Moss Primary School)
We’re transforming our outdoor space into vibrant learning environments. Including a sensory garden, forest school, and healthy living projects. From reducing ultra-processed snacks to teaching recycling we’re cultivating healthier habits for life. We’re seeking funds for recycling bins, plants and trees and gardening equipment.
Your support helps kids grow greener, stronger, and more connected.
