Christmas Angels is a simple project designed to bring a little joy to those who need it most in our community.
It started in Eccles in 2021. And we've been astonished at the incredible impact it's had on individuals and families.
Anyone can nominate someone to benefit from a small Christmas gift. A Christmas Angel then buys a gift to lift their spirits during the festive season.
Some of the people we've helped in previous years:
- A dad who lost his wife and attempted to take his own life. 'He has had the worst year'.
- A carer for their mother who never has a break or time for themselves
- A single mum who has a daughter with autism
- A terminally ill man who looks out for everyone. 'He is lonely as he lost his partner and is feeling low at the moment.'
Would you like to become a Christmas Angel?
We rely on individuals who are willing to buy and wrap a present for a specific person/family.
Christmas Angels receive a small amount of information about their nominated person. This helps them choose something appropriate.
We suggest around £20-£30 is spent on each gift. Gifts are then delivered by one of our drivers.
